Seasonal Native Plant Technician

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Native Plant Nursery Laborer to help with the daily production. care, and maintenance of native plants in our nursery. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, caring for plants, and being part of a team dedicated to growing healthy native species for landscapes, restoration projects, and local ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Fill pots, trays, and containers with soil and growing media.
• Seed, divide, and transplant plants as directed.
• Weed nursery stock and maintain clean, organized growing areas.
• Move, load, unload, and arrange plants, trays, soil and nursery materials.
• Assist with harvesting, pruning, labeling, and preparing plants for sale or delivery.
• Assist with preparing nursery from winter beds to retail sales.
• Help keep tools, work areas, greenhouses, and nursery grounds clean and organized.
• Follow nursery safety procedures and proper plant-handling practices.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Previous nursery, landscaping, farming, horticulture, or gardening experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in native plants, ecology, conservation, or horticulture is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
